Dr Davidson
This is the kind of letter I rarely have an opportunity to write. It is a pleasure, however, to put my thoughts together to express my true appreciation not only to you, but to your entire staff. You may recall that I had cataract surgery in 2023 on both of my eyes. I am not only a very happy guy for having met you and risking my eyes to have you perform what can only be described as life changing procedures; but also I am so glad to have had a chance to work with some of the kind members of your team. In particular, I want to highlight the support I got from Maria Rivera, Samantha Harrison, and Jackie Schroeder. What’s important here is that Maria, Samantha, and Jackie went way out of their way to help me … All three helped in their own ways, and I was the benefactor. If I could, I’d give them all “raises.” That said, kudos will have to suffice. NVision should recognize their skill, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. Please accept my full gratitude. I can’t say enough.

I recently underwent cataract surgery with Dr Davidson, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Before the procedure, I was struggling with my vision, especially seeing colors clearly; everything appeared yellow and dull. However, after the surgery, my world transformed–colors are now vibrant and vivid, and I can see with incredible detail. Remarkably, my reading ability has improved dramatically, allowing me to read without glasses for the first time in years! This has made a significant difference in my daily life. Additionally, I want to commend the entire staff for their exceptional care and professionalism. Due to rapidly progressing cataracts, I just had laser surgery with multifocal lens implant performed by Dr Davidson and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I have 20/20 vision up close and far just 3 days after the surgery!! Even though I’m a practicing physician, I had a certain level of anxiety going into a procedure on my eyes. But before the surgery, some reassuring words from Dr Davidson and his staff at Westlake Eye Surgery Center put me at ease, and a few minutes later I was done with the surgery, successfully and uneventfully. After wearing corrective lenses for almost twenty years, I really wanted to be able to see without having to find my glasses. I was familiar with Dr Davidson’s reputation and knew that he was probably the only person I would be comfortable with working on my eyes. I have been a patient of LEMG for over 30 years. As a commercial pilot, flawless eyesight is critical to my line of work. My interaction with Dr Hymas has been outstanding. I had 20/400 corrected to 20/20 by contacts. I wanted Lasik, but he advised to wait for cataract surgery several years down the road, so I followed his advice. In 2020 Dr Davidson did cataract surgery – lens replacement. It’s difficult to put into words how extremely professional Dr Davidson and his staff were during this procedure and post surgery care. There were absolutely no negative experiences during or after the surgery, and most importantly, my eyesight went from extremely poor without correction to a perfect 20/20, without any need for glasses / contacts. For over three years now, my eyesight has been flawless; both far sight and near sight, meaning no reading glasses, using the “PanOptix” lenses that Dr Davidson originally recommended. Great Doctor, amazing staff of nurses and office staff and a great followup doctor with Dr Gordon. I’m 68 years old and very dry eyes caused by a bad lasix surgery 20 years ago Contacts dried my eyes out horribly and I don’t do well with glasses so my life was a constant battle of trying to get a contact lens to stay in my eyes. I often scratched my eyes with them or they just fell out. YIKES. Recently I’ve done both eyes and I LOVE THE RESULTS. His operating room at The Lynn Eye Group in 1000 Oaks is state-of- the- art with an entire group of nurses and doctors there in case of any problems. I highly recommend them both. Especially Annell, the doctor’s scheduler – wow was she helpful from start to finish.

After a botched cataract surgery by another doctor, I went to Dr Davidson for a consultation. He was very patient and answered all my questions. He reassured me that replacing the lens would be the best thing to do. 2 weeks later he removed the questionable lens and replaced it with the proper one. I just had cataract surgery by Dr Davidson and it went really well. The whole experience was made easier from start to finish by a sympathetic and professional group of staff, from the initial consultation, through eye measurements and scheduling, and especially during the surgery itself. The nurses make you comfortable. There is no pain and the surgery goes very quickly. I got the laser operation with multifocal implants, so my vision will be corrected. The whole thing is amazing and I have great respect for doctors and nurses in general after the experience. Be sure you get the best doctor for your surgery like I did, because we are talking about your eyes, and that is the rest of your LIFE!

I just had my 2nd eye operated on for cataract surgery. Dr John Davidson was my surgeon. I am extremely happy as he used the Alcon PanOptix lenses for implantation. WOW. One day post op I am seeing better than 20/20 for distance and able to read the smallest print on the eyedrop bottle. Who Knew? If anyone is contemplating cataract surgery, you would have to be crazy not to have this new technology lens as it is remarkable! NO GLASSES! No Kidding! Dr Davidson was recommended as being the best in this region by a number of folks in the industry and he did not disappoint. He is a gentleman and a great surgeon. Thank you to him and his staff for the new set of eyes! I feel as if I’m 18 again!

I had the cataract in my right eye taken care of in February, and just had the left one done this week. Both times I was incredibly impressed, not only with the outcome, but with the seamless process and the amazing team that Dr Davidson has created. His whole team worked together like a well-oiled machine from start to finish (and follow-up). Watching the surgical team was like seeing a final episode of ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ I guess because they all having been working together for so many years they have developed a sixth sense of each others’ whereabouts and needs. And the atmosphere was one of caring, compassion, skill, and a joy that radiated from them because they truly loved what they were doing. My outcome was also impressive to me; I feel like I see better now than I did as a child. I chose the PanOptix Trifocal lens, which fortunately also corrected my astigmatism, thus making a great difference in my ability to see clearly.

I am a 55 year old who had cataract removal and the new PanOptix lens implants with Dr John Davidson. I had my left eye done in March 2020, and my right eye done in July 2020. I was impressed with the very friendly and inviting environment upon entering the facility. It turned out that one of the office assistants was a former student of mine! Dr Davidson was very friendly and thorough in answering my many questions and it certainly lowered my level of anxiety about cataract surgery. PanOptix is a game changer. I was tired of multifocal Toric contact lenses plus glasses so I had PanOptix before I developed cataracts. I now feel like I’m 20 years old again or even younger since I got glasses 42 years ago when I was 14. I can read everything at all distances…there are no gaps in what I can see at any distance. Dr Davidson is the best Dr. I have come across! I needed to get cataract surgery, and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my eyes! I had an artificial lens put in and the professionalism, courtesy, expertise, and precision of he and his staff is truly amazing! Maria his coordinator always calls you by name, which is a very personal courtesy that in this busy practice is really remarkable! From the appointment to the surgery and the whole process is explained every step of the way making you feel comfortable! No question goes unanswered! I am going to have my other cataract out and I am not nervous or afraid! This is how comfortable they make it! I completed my cataract surgery last year. I was apprehensive and nervous about the surgery and especially about surgery involving my eyes. I met with Dr Davidson who explained, in terms I could understand, what I needed and the different options. Dr Davidson made me feel very comfortable and he gained my trust with only 1 consultation. The day of the surgery (for my first eye) I was again, apprehensive and nervous. The staff at Lynn Eye Surgery Center was awesome. Each of them was pleasant, comforting, professional and they talked to me to keep my mind off the surgery, so I was comfortable and relaxed. Dr Davidson talked to me just before the surgery, he was also comforting. It was interesting that each of the staff and even the doctors kept asking me why was I there and what was I there and which eye was for the surgery. The surgery was over almost immediately. I felt nothing but I could hear Dr Davidson and the nurses talking (about what I think was measurements). Effortless, comforting, painless all beyond my expectations. Then the post-op began the next day with Dr Gordon. He is extremely professional and no-nonsense. He explained everything while doing his job extremely well. He found I had extreme dry-eye and had me back for additional post-op treatments and even included Dr. Davidson for treatment. The next surgery for my left eye I was prepared and more than ready. The improvement from the first surgery was awesome so I wanted the next eye done to get the full effect. I have worn glasses since I was 16 and haven’t had to wear them since my first surgery. Again I found the Lynn Eye Surgery Center staff to be as professional and comforting as the first time (but this time I knew what to expect and I was ready). Again Dr Gordon gave me the best post-op treatments. Everything Dr Davidson told me about the option I choose came true. He helped me make the best decision for me. I have recommended Lynn Eye AND Dr Davidson and Dr Gordon to my friends (and 1 has already had the based on my recommendation and experience). Now my wife will start the treatment. I highly recommend Lynn Eye and Dr Davidson and Dr Gordon and the great Lynn Eye Surgery staff.
